We've reached the point in
the Top 100 Actor countdown where it's impossible for me to imagine the cinematic decade (thus far) without the contribution of the actors listed. Everyone from here on out has, in one way or another, made some sort of immediate impact whether through a set of resonant turns, celebrity-of-the-moment ascendance, or a feeling that they're very "now" in terms of the movies if you know what I mean. It's always hard to divorce your feelings about actors from their entire body of work and look at just a set of years but that's what I've been attempting to do.
There are people who did not make the list that I think are fine actors but there wasn't necessarily enough from them in the past six years to justify inclusion.
At any rate: the next 15 people are where it's at. Here are three great "M"s:
Murray, McKellen, and
Mortenson.
