Seems that John Cleese is busy writing the book and lyrics for a stage musical adaptation to his huge 1988 hit
A Fish Called Wanda. [
src] Given the massive success of
Spamalot (the adaptation of
Monty Python and the Holy Grail, 1975) which he did not work on and reportedly didn't ask for royalties on, it's no surprise. Hopefully Cleese has scoured the awful Wanda sequel
Fierce Creatures from his memory banks and no trace of it will remain as he returns to that non-Python classic one more time.
One troubling question remains: How will they
ever fill
Jamie Lee Curtis's shoes? So comedically gifted, that one. Shouldn't she have like three Oscar nods by now? Oh, right
comedically gifted. They'd better gift "Wanda" with the show's best number.
