If you've been reading the film experience for any length of time you'll know that the award show I most hate is the Emmys. I hate them because they're almost the same every year no matter what new developments take place in quality on any given series. I have always loved the Oscars most because a) it's the cinema and b) each year there's a different crop of nominees. But lately it seems as if Clint Eastwood and the nation's top print critics are colluding to make the Oscars as boring as the Emmys.
