Didn't really intend to triple your pleasure with three straight director posts but that looks like how it's panning out. In about six hours the Directors Guild will announce their picks for best of the year and we'll have to discuss that too. But before that: my top five. Given my exclamatory reaction upon my first screening of The Fountain, you probably knew that Darren Aronofsky would make the shortlist at the 7th annual FiLM BiTCH Awards and he does. It's his second nomination. He won the bronze in 2001 for Requiem for a Dream. But who joins him? Check it out.
