Please pretend that this post was delivered, fresh from the oven in late January when the Oscar nominations were announced. Sure is one lopsided pie, huh? As you can see here November and December make up over 50% of the tasty ingredients. The Academy voters ignored that tattle tale Zodiac campaign this year "not all great movies come in the last six weeks of the year". They didn't give the acclaimed March release even one nomination. Perhaps they were punishing it for noting their limited baking supplies? The honor for earliest release to be nominated instead went to Norbit (!) ...This pie is probably not safe to eat.
Just for good measure, here's what they cooked up last year. Even though they were clearly hankering for October's autumnal flavor, they managed to make a lot of the December releases feel like Best Picture nominees even though they weren't.
